When it comes to easy comfort food you can't beat a casserole. This cheesy ground beef and potato casserole checks off all the boxes for a delicious, easy dinner recipe that will please the whole family. It is pure comfort food and this one-dish meal does not disappoint.
16ozfrozen sliced potatoesdiced potatoes or hash browns will work as well
1/2cupbutterunsalted, melted
1cupheavy cream
2cupssour cream
2cupsshredded gouda cheese
2cupsshredded sharp cheddar cheese
4tbspWorcestershire sauce
2tbspdried minced onion
1tsponion powder
2tbspminced garlic
1tspgarlic powder
1tspsalt
1tspblack pepper
1tbspdried parsley
Instructions
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
Brown the ground beef (I added some salt, black pepper and garlic powder above and beyond the quantities shown in the ingredients for the browning of the meat - this is optional).
Drain the ground beef.
Add everything except the parsley, cheese and the potatoes to the ground beef.
Stir until fully combined.
In a 9x13 casserole dish, add half of the meat mixture to the botoom of the pan.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes on top of the ground beef.
Layer half of the shredded cheese on top of the potatoes.
Repeat the last three steps with the remaining ingredients for another layer of ground beef, potatoes and cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove foil and continue to bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
